Quizzes I’ve seen taken by “Christian” friends on Facebook today:
Hi! I’m calling you out on improper use of quotation marks. I suggest that you post is a-ok if you change the title to read: …Christian “friends”
If you truly believe that one dispels the dark by cursing at the dark, I suggest you practice that which you proclaim as truth.
Have you tried addressing these alleged friends directly? Have you tried simply asking them, point-blank, “Hi, friend, I see that you espouse a world-view through your choice if quizzes (porn star/penis length/whatever), and yet this seems to fly in the face of this other world view you cite as being meaningful to you, namely, Christianity. Please, correct my misunderstanding.”
If you have done this, how has this worked for you? So far, asking about the perceived discongruity has resulted in those I’ve questioned choosing to cut off all communications with me. (Well, that is, all Christians Ive tried this with. I do have quite a few atheistic friends and agnostic friends who’ve become better friends through it all.)
If you’ve not tried this, it seems to me that you’re simply cursing *in* the dark (even if by the words you are using it sound as though you’re cursing *at* the dark.)
