Götterdämmerung and Ragnarök

Michael: Here’s something I learned today from the wiki article on Ragnarök, the Norse take on the end of the world.
The penultimate step - THE battle between good and evil. Immortal beings *DIE*. This is the stuff of which legends are made. The battle ends with a wave of mutilation that covers the entire face of the planet.
The ultimate step - As the smoke clears from the chaos of the battle’s aftermath, dry land begins to appear, up from the muddied waters. Everything is bright and shiny. The lords gods (well, the survivors) meet together and create a man and a woman. (You know where this is going, right?) These two humans repopulate the planet.
